Vox Illuminae

Vox Illuminae

Our premier concert of the 2016-17 season is a collaboration of five young musical professionals from the Hartford area. Led by First Church Minister of Music Noah Smith, Vox Illuminae have been performing together for over a year. Their superbly blended voices promise a moving musical experience created by the clear high notes of soprano Mary DiRoberts, rich middle tones of alto Riley Blaakman and tenor Josh Lara, and the deep resonance of bass Keith Sisterhenm.

All five members of Vox Illuminae have extensive advanced musical training and have performed as soloists and as members of ensembles, large and small. Professional associations include the Hartt School of Music; Westminster Choir College; Eastman School of Music; CONCORA, Connecticut's premiere professional choir; and the Hartford Symphony Orchestra.

The members of Vox Illuminae are skilled instrumentalists as well as exceptional vocalists. Their program will include a wide genre of choral and instrumental compositions, including musicals, Baroque period pieces, opera and other classical compositions accompanied by piano, flute and trombone. This concert promises to be a radiant and eclectic musical performance.
